TYPE !RACE

When the streamer opens a race, type !race in chat. That is all. Your Twitch account is your game account.

  • Your first race gives you a car and 2,500 credits.
  • Seats go to whoever types first.
  • Only the streamer and mods open races.

THE RACE

Cars drive themselves. You watch it on stream and cheer in chat. This is a real race running right here.

  • Your car: its class and its tuning.
  • Your race plan: when the car spends its tank.
  • Venue and sky: each one tips the odds a little. See them all.

VENUES & SKIES

Every race runs at one of eight venues under one of seven skies. Each one tips the odds a little, and the two stack. The streamer picks the venue and the sky, or leaves them random.

RACE PLAN

Every car starts with a full tank. Going fast spends it, easing off fills it back up. The plan decides when. Choose it in the Garage.

    CUPS

    A cup is a knockout: one-on-one races until one driver is left. The bigger the cup, the better the prize.

    • A cup starts by itself when the grid is full.
    • Duels and group races are for fun. Only a cup pays a container.

    CONTAINERS

    The container goes to your account. Open it in Collection.

    • Six skins in each: common, rare and legendary.
    • The odds are printed on every container.
    • A skin you already have turns into shards.

    GARAGE

    Make the car yours in the Garage.

    • Paint in any colour. Matte, metallic and pearl come with faster classes.
    • Skins: put on any skin you own.
    • Tune: engine for top speed, gearbox for acceleration, tyres for grip, nitrous for a bigger tank. Five levels each.
    • Pick which car you race, and its plan.

    FOUR CLASSES

    Buy cars with credits in the Dealership. Cars in one class are equal on paper: they spend the same points differently on speed, acceleration, grip and tank.

    • A faster class wins more often.
    • Beating a faster car pays extra. Beating a slower one pays less.

    CREDITS & SHARDS

    Credits come from every race, even a loss. The winner gets the most, with bonuses for an upset, a photo finish, a clean race and an empty tank at the line. Spend them on cars, tuning and body kits.

    Shards come from duplicate skins: 20 for common, 90 for rare, 400 for legendary. Spend them on containers, or on a rare skin straight off the shelf.

    QUESTIONS

    Does it cost anything?

    No. Playing is free for viewers. The streamer owns the game.

    Do I need to sign in?

    Not to race. Sign in with Twitch on this site to open containers and work on your garage. It is the same account you race with.

    Does my garage work on other channels?

    Yes. Your cars, skins and shards follow you to every channel that runs Stream Racers.

    I typed !race and nothing happened.

    Seats only open while a race is open, and the grid may already be full. Wait for the next one.
